I personally do not believe Smith Micro's Poser 3D human figure software gets the attention and respect it deserves from professional artists and designers. This goes double for advertising agencies.

"I am surprised not to see more Poser 3D usage in the fashion industry. It is a very cost effective to display new fashions online that will save money on production photo sessions."

The thing is that fashion photography is about beautiful models and having consumers thinking about themselves looking as beautiful as the models wearing the clothing. I have doubts about consumers living vicariously through 3d renders on the the border of uncanny valley as they would with a real life model. I also have doubts that modeling the clothing in 3D and then rendering in poser is cheaper than a photoshoot with a real live person.
